Owosso man dies in ATV crash

NEW HAVEN TWP. - An Owosso man was killed early this morning in an all-terrain vehicle crash near Juddville and State roads.

According to the Sheriff's Office, just after midnight, Kevin James Wiley, 35, was riding a 2009 Yamaha quad runner east through a field. Wiley was thrown from the ATV when it crashed into a large drainage ditch.

He was transported to Memorial Healthcare, where he died as a result of his injuries.

Wiley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Assisting the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office at the scene was Corunna Area Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation.

" im sorry to hear that.we used to ride alot togater and others will we was in high school.there has been alot of my friends that died from not wearing a helmet.for those who ride that your main safty is to wear that. "
