Ovid-Elsie goes 1-2 in TVC tourney

ALMA - Ovid-Elsie's volleyball team finished 1-2 at Saturday's Tri-Valley Conference Silver Division championships.

Carrollton outlasted the Marauders 19-25, 25-19, 16-14 in the first match. Ovid-Elsie followed that with a forfeit qin over Bridgeport, which did not show up for the tournament. Merrill then swept the Marauders 25-19, 25-23.

Ovid-Elsie (9-26-3, 2-8 TVC) was led by Brittany Micka, with seven kills, and Kim Fox, with five kills, nine digs and three aces. Sydney Dean had 18 assists, 17 digs, four aces. Caitlin Montague added three blocks.
