Margaret Louise Cole
April 16, 1912 - Aug. 10, 2008
Age 96, of Fort Thomas, Ky., formerly of Byron, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Bancroft, on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Steve Gabennesach of St. Thomas, Ky. will officiate with burial to follow at Union Plains Cemetery in Byron. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the time of the service.
Margaret was born in Byron, April 16, 1912, the youngest child of eight born to Mary Louise and Roger Edwin Sheldon. They lived on a centennial farm in Byron. Margaret married Convis Dewayne Cole, who predeceased her in 2003. Prior to moving to Kentucky, she and Convis lived for 40 years in Alabama. She was a homemaker and last year the family held a reunion to celebrate Margaret's 95th birthday at the Durand Union Station, where more than 100 family members representing six generations attended.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Jerry) Riches, of Fort Thomas, Ky; grandchildren Dale Asher, Kirk Asher, Marcie-Riches Tomelyn, MD, and David Riches; son-in-law Arlen Asher; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Judith Asher; brothers and sisters.
